No More Messy Bacon

Here's a neat tip.

When cooking bacon, I use a cookie sheet with edges.

Lay the bacon pieces down flat on the sheet without overlapping and bake at 375 degrees until you reach your desired crispness.

I've heard of baking bacon but never tried it. I really hate how much grease splatters over the stove top when I cook bacon! Next time I'll bake it. Thanks!

I've never tried baking bacon, either, but it sounds easy enough! How long does it generally take?

That is the tricky part. I buy whatever bacon is on sale so the slice thickness will vary. I pull it out halfway for some grease to start my gravy (I am a southern girl of course!). I would say 20 minutes or so but I have never timed it. I just like the fact that there are no spatters to clean up and the bacon comes out flat without a bacon press on it.

Now this is a good tip! I usually fix turkey bacon in the microwave, but on special occasions we get the real deal. I've always disliked the greasy splattery mess - this is great. Thanks!
