Filled with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain--
Quaintest thoughts--queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today.

You are not alone, and I think there should be an explanation, not just a pull of the picture off the website.
Okay, now I see what the deal is with the pic, MUCH more serious than what I thought I was looking at, which was the gesture. Didn't notice the background. This is inexcusable! I can't believe this made it to a national posting!
brothero , what you are saying makes it even worse. I didn't even put it together with the gesture.
It took me a while to realize find what it was after careful observation.
It is just awful.
there is no excuse for this! how would/could this get through? who would do this? grrrr!
OMG! I had no idea. That is horrible!
Yeah, that's horrible. I wonder if it actually WAS on MSNBC...I tried to find it soon after I saw that TwitPic but couldn't.
Wayne John. I swear it was on MSNBC. The pic was MY screenshot. I clicked on print screen and saved the image in Photoshop.
I will swear on the Bible, it was there. Nothing has been done to the image other than I cropped it.
Right after I saved it, they took it down. It was a slideshow with 4 pics. Then there were 3 pics, then they had 4 again but it was a different pic of Obama.
Came over from Lisa's thoughts, ideas, & ramblings, - you commented on her wordless Wednesday about this, so I had to see what you were talking about.
That picture is absolutely disgusting!
I am first, appalled that the editors for the MSNBC site allowed that to go through, and second, that it is highly probable that an MSNBC staffer is responsible for the image, and they should be tracked down, questioned, and if responsible, fired for that.
I am truly outraged by that image.
Good catch though, fast print screen finger.
Have you contacted anyone at MSNBC about this? If not, you should email or call them, let them know it's inexcusable.
I don't get it? What is it? Sorry I can be very naive sometimes.
Someone apparently Photoshopped a gunshot wound on Obama's head in the picture in the background.
I still can't believe they got away with it.
