OMG, I would so TOTALLY do it. I mean, that was a question mark at the end there, right?
But maybe just for Friday. Or Thursday and Friday. I mean, no earlier than Wednesday. You wouldn't want to have it up there the whole week... though you might have more time to get it just right if you worked on it over the weekend, so....

(Note: If I saw my kiddo's elementary school bus decked out like that, I would laugh my expansive rear off at the sight. And she's in kindergarten. But I'm a bit twisted like that. It would just be the kid plastered face first into the grill on the front that I might object to. Maybe.)
